So, I was unloading the trunk of our Pilot SUV and bringing things in to put away when I opened my laundry closet and my OCD kicked in. Every shelf was unorganized and stuff was just shoved in there. Cleaning products mixed with food and drinks. Lysol wipes on two different shelves. I know it sounds silly but, how was I supposed to know my inventory and where stuff was with the closet looking like this?
I popped my daughter in the “kangaroo pouch” that we call it and went to work on the closet. I threw out some useless trash in there. I put the paper products all together and realized I had way more toilet paper than I thought. That’s not really a bad problem to have. I found paper plates I didn’t know we had and realized how much extra coffee we had. Hubby can no longer say he’s out of coffee when I’m headed to the grocery store. We have a ridiculous amount of it.
It might not seem like a big change but things are more organized now. Cleaning product bottles are together and can be found easily, boxed cleaning items are easily accessible now and can be found a heck of a lot easier. I threw out useless trash which, in turn, left more room in the closet to be utilized. But most importantly, I can find what I need and have the ability to keep a proper inventory on what I have and what I need to keep the house running smoothly.
