Get Paid to Shop—- wait what?!! Did you just ask yourself that?
So, I don’t know about you, but, I feel like I spend a BOAT load of extra money once we have had our daughter. I mean, it’s money well spent, so I’m not complaining…. but if I can find a way to make extra money, or find ways to save money on everything, then I am ALL about it. The more I look into this, the more I realize ways to save money or even “get paid to shop”. If I can find ways to save on our grocery bill or the amount of money we spend on wipes and diapers, you know I’m on it, like white on rice.

One of my favorite ways to “get paid to shop”, is through using Ibotta. If you haven’t heard of Ibotta, it’s super easy to use. There is an app you can download to your phone/iPad/other device. They’ve updated this app SO much since I started using it. You have multiple ways to earn money back. 1. You can submit your receipt. First, go through the list and complete a few easy tasks (watch a video, answer a question, etc) to unlock some rebates. Next, go shopping and buy those products. If you have paper coupons, use them too.
The more money you can save, the better! Don’t forget to take the receipt from the store. Next step is to redeem the rebates. You do this by scanning your receipt into the app. Ibotta will match the rebates you selected to the items on your receipt and they’ll give you the mulahhhhh for it! Your cash back will usually be submitted to your account within 48 hours of submitting the receipt. They have great rebate options, even ones where you can get rebates back on produce or pick your own product for a rebate.
Another way to earn money from Ibotta is by linking your loyalty cards. This is a one time thing and makes earning money even easier. First things first, pick the store from the preferred partners list and connect it by the loyalty number on the card or the phone number you use in stores. Just like you did in the receipt option, pick the rebates you want and complete the tasks necessary to unlock the rebates.
Then all you have to do is shop and make sure to use the loyalty card or phone number at the checkout register. Ibotta does the rest. This is a super convenient and simple way to earn cash back and get paid to shop for the items you would normally be buying. Per the usual, your cash back should be added to your account within 48 hours.
Ibotta has another awesome, easy way to get your cash back in your pocket for buying items you would already be buying. Ibotta partners with other apps to get you your money back. You can browse apps like Groupon and Jet in the app and if you tap on the Shop button in the Ibotta app, you’ll be connected to the site to make a qualifying purchase and get your rebates back in your pocket. You should get a confirmation email letting you know your purchase was a qualifying purchase and when to expect the money to show up in your account.
These are three extremely simple ways to get more money back from purchases and keep it in your wallet. If you are interested in joining me in this awesome money back, easy peasy journey. You can join my team here. Ibotta has fun little challenges and bonuses for you to complete to make even more money. Don’t worry these tasks don’t take a ton of time. They’re usually things you do on a regular basis as well! The amounts add up fast, especially if you REMEMBER to use the app. I’m not always the best at it, but, when I do, I can rake in the bank.
Another super awesome and easy way to make some extra money is to use Ebates. Ebates is super easy to use. You can download the app to your phone, iPad or other device. All you have to do is open the app or go to Ebates.com and click on the store you wish to shop at and that is it! It tracks what you buy and you’ll get a specific amount of money back. Each store offers different percentages and offers different deals to the Ebates customers. You should make sure to look into the email list they send out because they will notify you of any crazy discounts or increases in cash back of your favorite stores.
You can turn your Ebates (rebate money) into a lot of different options. You can get your cash back in a “Big Fat Check” as Ebates says. You can cash in in for a gift card. This option usually gives you more bang for the buck. Sometimes stores will offer extra money back if you redeem for a gift card with them. I have a family member who got an extra 25 percent back in rebates by having everything loaded on to a virtual Macy Gift Card. She then went and used that money and finished the majority of her Christmas shopping. I don’t know about you, but to me, free money is ALWAYS a good thing!
But, my favorite option in redeeming my eBates is by transferring it to my PayPal account. This is basically cashing the money to my account in no time. We use PayPal a lot. So, this idea is convenient and easy to use. It’s nice to log in to PayPal and send someone money, to find that I already have money in my account waiting to be sent.
Ebates partners with so many programs and stores. They’re ones that you use on a normal basis, like Walmart, Target, Babies R Us, Jet, Walgreens, etc. To join eBates, check it out HERE! I use Ebates quite often, especially for holiday shopping and I have accumulated hundreds of dollars in rebates. I’ve used this money to pay for other holiday gifts and help pay off our hospital bills from our crazy pregnancy and delivery.
Ebates is super easy, all you have to do is click or log in and find your site you wish to purchase from and wallah, mmoeny coming back your way. We buy everything online. Caroline’s diapers have come from Target, Jet.com and Amazon Subscribe and Save and we have earned money back on them with each purchase through Ebates!
Checkout 51 is very similar to Ibotta. You have a list of rebates and things to get money back on. Some are store dependent while others are just item dependent. You choose your rebates, complete the tasks like watching a video or answering a quick question. Then, once you’ve added all of your rebates to the list, you can take a snapshot image of your receipt and boom done. In a couple days, the money will be deposited to your Checkout 51 account. Once you accumulate $20 in savings, they will mail you a check to deposit. Simple and that accumulation happens really quick! Horray for money back in your pocket!
The cool thing is, you can add these receipts and rebates to both Ibotta and Checkout 51! So, you are double saving. Plus, if you have a manufacture paper coupon, you’re triple saving!
Bonus : find super sales from these app email lists.
