Is Peanut Butter Safe for my Toddler?
Did you know that the rules on peanut butter have changed recently over the years? You should no longer avoid peanut butter like the plague with your kids.
Even though peanut butter can be a high risk allergen, doctors, pediatricians and the government are now suggesting that you try peanut butter treats with kids at a much younger age.
They now recommend that you try out peanut butter with your child to reduce the risk of developing a peanut allergy when they’re around 4-6 months of age (depending on your child’s risk of allergies). As always, you should discuss this with your pediatrician before trying peanut butter.
