Quick dinner idea
Helping the Tired Mom
As a mom who works ten hour shifts and doesn’t always feel like slaving over the stove when she gets home – I’m always looking for a relatively easy and healthy meal to provide for the family. I love finding easy meal ideas and was excited to work with Tai Pei!
* This is a sponsored post by Tai Pei. However, as always, all opinions expressed here in this post are my own. *
Tai Pei is a brand that offers a variety of Asian food. They offer quite a few kinds of frozen fried rice and other varieties of meats combined with it. Tai Pei has quite a few options to choose from.
Mom life is full of Funny Stories
Funny story from last week. After creating a crockpot dish last week that I got from Pinterest and it epically failing, I was super thrilled to have these on hand for dinner! They’re reasonably priced to have extra of in the freezer for occasions like this. I also like to have a few of them on hand for quick and convenient lunches at work.
All of the Tai Pei entrees are made with real, pure ingredients. They don’t have ANY preservatives OR artificial ingredients. Nothing but pure and delicious goodness. Yup, you read that right- NO preservatives or artificial ingredients in a frozen entree meal for the family.
Tai Pei to the rescue
When I was in a pinch after that crockpot disaster, I was so excited to grab these out of the freezer for a great tasting family meal. They have such a wide variety of flavors. We grabbed The Tai Pei Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Beef and Broccoli. A little bit of everything, all sorts of yummy flavors made in the convenience of just our microwave. These were so simple to make! Now, the once, boring, typical, bland dinner that I previously attempted at making, had now changed and transformed to become a delicious buffet of Tai Pei entrees in the drop of a hat.
We live out in a rural area. We have two grocery stores, not very huge name brands, but still decent for our area. I was so happy to use the Tai Pei store locator to find out that BOTH of the local grocery stores in our small town carried Tai Pei single serve entrees. Make sure you check in the frozen food section, you won’t find what you’re looking for elsewhere! But, you will find yummy entrees that offer a huge range of choices that are made with flavor-infused rice.
Each package contains a single serving and I was happy to see that the Chicken Fried Rice has 19 grams of protein in it! The General Tso’s Chicken has 14 grams of protein and is only 420 calories! Not bad for Asian food. The Beef and Broccoli only has 370 Calories!!! Plus it has 14 grams of protein as well. It’s easy to feed your family these meals and feel good about the quality of food they’re getting and a decent protein intake!
It was hard for me to choose between the General Tso’s Chicken and the Chicken Fried Rice, but, I think the Chicken Fried Rice is my favorite. The General Tso’s chicken is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but, the little bites of real pure chicken, mixed in with the flavor infused rice just made my day. It’s my favorite kind of asian food. In fact, a couple bites of both of the General Tso’s Chicken and the Fried Rice mixed together just made for the perfect mouthful of yummyness.
Hubby’s favorite was the Beef and Broccoli. The beef wasn’t too tough and actually had a decent flavor. Caroline loved trying this new food. The fried rice is great for her to work on her hand and eye coordination. It keeps her busy while she tries to feed herself – this is great so Dave and I can enjoy our food on our own. My picky brother even enjoyed the General Tso’s Chicken! My mom was so thankful to find something else for him to eat that she left my house and literally went to the grocery store to get some of these for a quick lunch meal.
When dinner is over, clean up is a breeze. The Tai Pei entrees are easy enough to heat in the microwave in their original product packaging, so we just toss the whole package if we have ate it all. If we have left overs, you don’t even need to put it in a different box, it’s already in a left over container box for the refrigerator. Easy peasy. Cleaned up in no time.
